An Audible Information Device for use when a sidewalk is blocked by construction and when an alternative, accessible route around construction in the public right-of-way (PROW) is provided. Presently, when construction in the PROW occurs, a sign may be used to inform the public that the sidewalk is closed ahead and a different route should be used. However, a visual sign does not provide blind pedestrians or those with cognitive disabilities any information as to temporary, alternate and accessible routes.
The Empco-Lite system can be programmed to provide a clear, audible warning message and provide positive guidance to and through temporary routes around construction sites that are in the PROW. Web site
